CAN THE SCHÖRL FILTER CAUSE A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT/SERVICE LIGHT TO COME ON? 

A check engine light may flash after installing the air filter or performance intake system, but this does not necessarily suggest that something is wrong with your air filter or intake system. Enhanced combustion efficiency, the air filter, or the intake system may occasionally reflect an existing mechanical or electronic issue in a vehicle.

WILL THE SCHÖRL FILTER CAUSE VEHICLE'S MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR TO FAIL?

The MAF sensor's first countermeasure is the air filter, which is connected to the engine's air intake system. However, if any contamination gets past it, a blocked, low-quality or dirty air filter might potentially cause MAF sensor damage. As a result, maintaining a clean air filter is helpful to your MAF sensor and engine.

WHAT IS THE MICRON RATING AND EFFICIENCY OF THE SCHÖRL AIR FILTER?

The ISO 5011 laboratory test process is used by SCHÖRL to determine filtration efficiency and capacity, and most SCHÖRL air filters pass the test with a 99 percent dust filtration efficiency with 1 to 2.5 micron filtration.

CAN THE SCHÖRL FILTER CAUSE AN ENGINE BREAKDOWN?

With a bad/dirty air filter, there could be challenges such as engine check light coming on, lack of acceleration, poor engine performance, strange engine noise, black smoke from the exhaust system, reduced fuel efficiency, etc. Although the engine breakdown due to an air filter is highly unlikely. Just like any other component that needs periodic check/maintenance/replacement on vehicles, SCHÖRL air filters are no exception. No engine damage has ever occurred on the tested vehicle which has been using the air filter for the past 3 years and more than 50000 km. Our air filters have been tested with one of the most reputed Regional Transport Corporations’ 10 buses driving ages 4.5 lac km to 11 lac km. On-road tests were conducted for 1.5lac km on each bus without any engine damage.

CAN THE SCHÖRL FILTER BE USED UNIVERSALLY FOR ALL VEHICLES?

SCHÖRL air filters are replacement fit/ retrofit air filters that are to be used for the vehicle models they are designed to fit. If the SCHÖRL air filter do not fit in the airbox of the vehicle, DO NOT force the installation. Mis-fit of the fitment may occur if the filters are damaged/torn/forced to fit on the vehicles for which they are not designed for.

CAN THE SCHÖRL FILTER VOID ENGINE WARRANTY?

Vehicle manufacturers only recommend genuine products/spare parts to be used on the vehicles. Engine failure during the warranty period can be an expensive affair for the vehicle manufacturer. To avoid such claims, the vehicle manufacturer may void the warranty if any add-ons, changes are made to the vehicle which are not recommended by them. Hence we advise the customers to use/test the SCHÖRL air filters to be used on the vehicles which are out of the warranty period.
