Privacy Policy

This notice explains what personal data SCHORL Air Filters collects, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how you can control it. It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025.

Who we are

SCHORL is a brand of Small Spark Concepts Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Pune, Maharashtra, India (“we”, “us”). We are the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected on schorlfilters.com, on WhatsApp and by email.

What we collect and why

  • Name, phone number, email and delivery/billing address: to process, ship and support your order, send order and delivery updates, and handle returns and warranty claims.
  • GSTIN and business name (optional): to issue a GST invoice so you can claim input tax credit.
  • Order details (products, vehicle fitment, amounts, payment status): to fulfil the order, keep accounting and GST records, and answer warranty claims. We never see or store your full card, UPI PIN or bank details; Razorpay handles payments.
  • WhatsApp and email messages you send us: to answer you and keep a record of support given.
  • Reviews, ratings, kilometres, washes, mileage and service feedback you submit: reviews are published on our site with your first name; service feedback stays private and is used to improve our service.
  • Device and usage data (IP address, browser, pages viewed, cookies): to keep the site secure and working, measure visits, and show our ads to people likely to need a filter.

Where we rely on your consent (for example marketing messages, review requests and advertising cookies), you can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it. Withdrawing does not affect orders already placed.

Who we share it with

We share only what each provider needs to do its job for us:

  • Razorpay: online payments
  • Delhivery: shipping and delivery tracking
  • Hostinger: website hosting and email
  • WhatsApp (Meta): order updates and support chats
  • Zoho: invoicing and accounts
  • Google (Analytics, Ads, Merchant Center, Customer Reviews) and Meta and Snapchat ads: visit measurement and advertising
  • Our chartered accountant, auditors and lawyers, and government authorities where the law requires it

We do not sell your personal data. Some providers store data outside India; we use only providers bound to protect it and only to countries not restricted by the Government of India.

How long we keep it

  • Order and invoice records: as long as tax and company law requires (up to 8 years)
  • Customer account: until you ask us to delete it, or 3 years after your last order or login
  • Support messages: 3 years after the conversation
  • Published reviews: until you ask us to remove them
  • Marketing contact list: until you withdraw consent
  • Security and access logs: at least 1 year, as the DPDP Rules require

After these periods we delete or anonymise the data.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with
  • correct, complete or update it
  • delete it (we will keep only what the law requires us to keep, such as GST invoices)
  • stop marketing messages or withdraw any consent
  • let a person you nominate exercise these rights if you die or become unable to

Email orders@schorlfilters.com or WhatsApp us with the subject “Privacy request”. We will confirm it is you, then reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Cookies

Essential cookies keep your cart, checkout and login working. Analytics and advertising cookies (Google, Meta, Snapchat) help us measure visits and show relevant ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the store will still work, but you may need to log in again.

Security

The site runs over encrypted HTTPS, admin access is limited and password-protected, and we keep backups and access logs. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India without delay, as the law requires.

Children

Our products are for vehicle owners. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you by email or WhatsApp. This notice is available in English; ask us for a Hindi or Marathi version.
